What Surge is...

Surge is simply an organized effort by single disciples to travel together to foreign and domestic fellowships to "strengthen and encourage the churches".  The singles who participate change every year based on whomever joins in. The couple who started Surge, Chad & Mara Winchell, decide which churches to visit based on their need for encouragement, location, and safety concerns for our travelers.  The group typically visits 3 different cities, or countries, over about 10-12 days.  Quite often, the group arrives together at one city, splits into halves or thirds to visit separate cities, and then reunites together to finish the trip in a final city. If there is a church conference around the same time, then we will attend that as well!

Why try Surge?

It's fun!!!  But seriously....  Many churches around the world are greatly encouraged by your visit to help them with their ministries. If you've ever considered a one-year challenge or joining a mission team in a foreign country, then Surge can be an opportunity for you to try it on a short-term basis with other single disciples to see if such a thing is for you.  It's a great way to go on an adventure and then have time to sit back and reflect upon your trip.

How to Sign Up...

"Signing Up" equates to emailing your intention to attend to Chad & Mara Winchell at: surgesinglesmissions@gmail.com

Surge Participants are different from year to year.  It is solely based on whomever signs up and how many singles our host churches can accommodate.  We've had groups as large as 32 and as small as 10 go on a trip.  There may be a small fee for future trips to help cover administrative costs.
